It is uncomfortable for me to write about myself. But I also know before I decide to read a book or a blog I want to know about the author, the content and how I can relate to both. So, if you’re considering reading the book but want to know a little more about the person who wrote it here we go:
I’m a Christian – my faith in God and His promise to never leave me got me through the darkest time in my life.
I’m a mom – my daughter is an amazing, compassionate, energetic, athletic and off the charts kind-hearted 12 year old. She was 8 when I was diagnosed with cancer.
I’m a wife – my husband and I have been married (almost) 14 years. Dan is kind, smart and very entertaining. He makes me laugh even when I don’t want to laugh. He makes me a little crazy sometimes too but definitely more laughter than crazy.
I’m a daughter – my parents were beside me through every surgery, set back, complication, side effect and all the good times in between. I am so proud to be their daughter.
I’m a sister, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law (but we’re as close as sisters), aunt, cousin and friend – I’m blessed with the most amazing family and circle of friends. Words cannot express how grateful I am for my family and friends.
I love to be outside – it’s my happy place.
I enjoy tennis, walking, running (elliptical), hiking and kayaking – most anything outdoors. Actually, I hate the elliptical but I love food so it’s necessary.
I’m frugal – I shop at Aldi and I love the BOGO offers at other stores.
I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. I’ve had 7 surgeries, 16 chemotherapy treatments and so many complications and side effects I could write another book.
I am healthy. I am grateful to God for every minute of every day, even the moments that make me crazy!
